Blue Desk is the legal employer for administrative staff supporting US healthcare organizations. We carry the employment contract, payroll, taxes, and statutory obligations in country. You decide who does what.
Every role is scoped to your process, not ours. If it is administrative and it can be done from a computer, it is in range.
Coverage confirmation for existing clients, plan changes, and payer portal work, documented in your format.
Benefit checks for new clients, copay and deductible capture, and flagging gaps before they turn into denials.
Submission, status tracking, and follow up on pending authorizations across payers.
Aging review, claim status calls, and denial triage routed back to your team with the next action attached.
Charge capture, payment posting, and reconciliation against your billing system.
New client intake, registration forms, appointment coordination, and inbox coverage.
The question is not whether offshore support works. It is who is legally the employer, and who is actually directing the work. Most arrangements get those two answers wrong.
Someone who works your hours, on your systems, under your direction, using your process, is not functioning as an independent contractor. Misclassification, back taxes, and statutory contributions all land on the party that engaged them.
The agency employs the person and also inserts itself into the working relationship. Feedback routes through an account rep, performance is measured against the agency's service levels rather than your standards, and reassignment requires their approval.
Blue Desk is the legal employer and carries every employment obligation that comes with it, including an indemnity if any of it is ever challenged. The working relationship is yours. You train, assign, set standards, and give feedback directly, the same as with anyone else on your team.
Offshore staffing and protected health information are a bad combination when nobody has thought it through. Here is how we structure it.
Your staff are your workforce members. Under HIPAA, the people assigned to you are designated members of your workforce, under your direct control. That is what makes the arrangement work without a chain of business associates.
Blue Desk does not touch PHI. We do not access protected health information, request your system credentials, or log into your systems. There is nothing for us to be a business associate of.
No screen recording, no keystroke logging. Screen capture, screen recording, and keystroke logging are barred during your working hours. On a screen showing eligibility data, that kind of monitoring is a disclosure to a third party. We do not do it.
Confidentiality that survives the engagement. Every person assigned to you is bound to confidentiality on your data, and it does not lapse when the assignment ends.
Blue Desk started from a straightforward observation. Healthcare organizations need administrative capacity, the talent is available offshore, and almost every arrangement on the market asks the client to accept a legal structure that does not match how the work actually happens.
So we separated the two things that were tangled together. We take on the employment: contracts, payroll, taxes, statutory contributions, and everything that comes with being a legal employer in country. We do not take on your operations. We do not supervise the work, set performance targets, or stand between you and your team.
Our staff are based in the Philippines, in Cebu City, and work US hours. Every engagement starts with a conversation about your workflows, because the fit is decided there and not on a resume.
Tell us what the work looks like today and where it is backing up. We will tell you honestly whether this model fits.
